Event Liability Waiver

Waiver and Release of Liability

By registering for, attending, or participating in any meeting, tour, training, webinar, conference, site visit, social gathering, or other activity hosted, organized, sponsored, or presented by the Association of Energy Engineers National Capital Chapter or CWEEL National Capital, you acknowledge that participation is voluntary and may involve inherent risks. These risks may include, but are not limited to, personal injury, illness, property damage, travel-related incidents, exposure to industrial or construction environments, interaction with equipment or facilities, and other foreseeable or unforeseeable hazards.

You knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation, whether known or unknown, and whether arising from ordinary negligence or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

You release, waive, and hold harmless the Association of Energy Engineers National Capital Chapter, CWEEL National Capital, their officers, directors, board members, employees, volunteers, agents, sponsors, host facilities, partners, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses arising out of or related to your participation in any such activity.

You agree to comply with all applicable laws, venue rules, safety requirements, and posted instructions, including any required personal protective equipment during tours or site visits. The Chapter reserves the right to deny or revoke participation for unsafe, disruptive, or unlawful conduct.

You understand that no medical insurance or coverage is provided by the Chapter in connection with any event, and you are responsible for your own health, safety, and insurance coverage.

If any provision of this waiver is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
